Client's Goal
User Insights
This project was part of a pro-bono project done for a client wanting to deliver a comprehensive health app. Working with the UI team, I defined the problem from usability issues of current apps, consulted the client on the market need, and implemented a proposed digital mock-up
Client wants to create an app a comprehensive app that allows users to cross-manage multiple aspects of health: physician access, nutrition, exercise, and well-being habits

-
Too many health apps led users to be overwhelmed with entering their daily data
-
Tediousness to upkeep due to the lack of syncing across apps
-
Difficulty getting comprehensive support for their health goals
-
Cluttered UI leads to confusion - more time spent on tasks
Prototypes
Based on our user insights, I defined our design requirements:
1. Access to holistic view of users’ health
2. Access to dietary tracking, exercise plans, and clinical support
3. Progress overview

-
Used Figma for mockup design
Takeaway
I learned that implementing minimalism in the user interface is sometimes the optimal way to create professional, and engaging designs. In academic and personal pursuits, it's easy to get carried away with fancy graphics but this may not align with the market need - which is why it's so important to empathize with our user personas.
